Meet Our Pastor

 Pastor Gary is from Miami Florida. He worked in construction and commercial fishing, until he was saved in August 1984.  He graduated from The Baptist College of Florida in 1988, with a Bachelor of Theology. He has served Southside Baptist Church since 2004, and hopes to stay many more.

 He and Nancy were married June 16, 1974.  They have three children, Nathan (wife Tiffany), Hannah (husband Chris), and Matthew. They have three grandchildren, Jeremiah, from Nathan and Tiffany and Allison and Claire from Hannah and Chris.

Gary’s calling is to serve as pastor in the local church, preach and teach God’s Word, and to make disciples that make disciples.  His wife Nancy is faithful to his call in the ministry.

Gary’s hobby is to fish off shore.  His idea about fishing is, if he can see land he is not far enough off shore!  He enjoys visiting and eating fresh fish with his Mom and Dad, when he gets in from fishing.

Gary has let the church know that he will retire December 31st 2023 after serving here at Southside Baptist church for the past 19 years and has been in full time mimistry for the past 39 years.
