“The Southside Purpose”
A Place of H.O.P.E. (Helping Others Prepare Eternally)
The Southside purpose is to love God, each other, and others in such a way as to make followers of Christ here and beyond, moving them toward maturity and ministry. The “Great Commandment” and the “Great Commission” is the driving force of Southside Baptist Church.
The Great Commandment “You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Matthew 22:37-39
The Great Commission “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things, that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20
